As part of the Jubilee Year and in preparation forthe 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, Franciscan churches have been designated as places of pilgrimage where the faithful may obtain a Plenary Indulgence under the usual conditions.
Parishioners from across the Diocese are invited to join a special Pilgrimage Day at St Francis Church, Chester, on Thursday 17th September 2026, the Feast of the Stigmata of St Francis

10:30am – 12 noon • Eucharistic Adoration • Opportunity for the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation in English, Polish, and Malayalam
12 noon Holy Mass
After Mass Tea, coffee, and refreshments in the Parish Hall
4:00pm – 5:30pm • Eucharistic Adoration • Opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliationi n English, Polish, and Malayalam
5:30 pm Solemn Evening Prayer (Vespers)
