Three options for supporting the Diocese: online with Gift Aid, a regular Standing Order, or a one-off cheque. Pick the one that suits how you give.
Your giving keeps clergy, parishes, schools, and charitable work going across Cheshire, Shropshire, and parts of Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and Derbyshire. There is no obligation to give. If you can, here are the main options.
The Diocese uses MyDona for online giving. You can make a single donation or set up a recurring one, and you can add a Gift Aid declaration in the same flow if you pay UK tax. Online giving is the quickest option and the easiest to keep a record of. You will receive an automatic receipt by email.
If you would prefer to give monthly or quarterly directly from your bank, the Planned Giving Office can post you a Standing Order mandate. Use the contact listed below to request one. Standing Orders give the Diocese a steady, predictable income, which makes planning easier. You can cancel or change the amount with your bank at any time.
Cheques should be made payable to Diocese of Shrewsbury and posted to:

If you would like Gift Aid added to a cheque donation, the Planned Giving Office can help you complete a declaration. Their details are listed below.
Gift Aid increases your donation by 25 per cent at no cost to you. If you pay UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the year you give, the Diocese can reclaim the basic-rate tax already paid on your gift. The Gift Aid guide on the diocesan website explains the full picture, including how higher-rate taxpayers can claim additional relief through Self Assessment.
The Diocese stores donor records securely and does not share your data with third parties for their own marketing or fundraising. Full details are in the Privacy Notice.
For any question about giving, the Planned Giving Office is the right first contact. Their details are listed below.
