Forming Catholic leaders
The Catholic identity of a school depends on the formation of its leaders. The Education team works with the North West Diocese Training Partnership to prepare future Catholic headteachers, and runs CPD across the year for RE leads, foundation governors, school chaplains, and the wider staff body.
What we offer
In partnership with the North West Diocese Training Partnership, formation for aspiring Catholic headteachers and senior leaders.
The Certificate in Catechesis and Religious Studies, coordinated by Fr Michael Coughlan. Open to teachers, catechists, and any adult who wants to study the Catholic faith.
Annual training and updates for RE leads in primary and secondary schools.
Induction and ongoing training for foundation governors across the diocese.
