Pilgrims in Prayer | Day Five 💙✝️🕯️

Together with our assisted pilgrims, we prayed the Low Stations of the Cross, walking with Christ in His Passion and drawing strength from His love and sacrifice. It was a moving reminder that no one walks alone, for the Lord is always with us on the journey.

At our Closing Mass, we gave thanks for the many blessings of this 75th Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes—for prayers answered, friendships formed, faith renewed, and the countless moments of grace we have shared together.

As we prepared to leave Lourdes, the Lighting of the Pilgrimage Candle became a poignant symbol of the light of Christ that each pilgrim now carries home. Though our pilgrimage comes to an end, its fruits continue in our hearts, our families and our parishes.

We leave Lourdes with gratitude, renewed in faith and filled with hope, praying that, God willing, we may one day return to this holy place where generations of Shrewsbury pilgrims have encountered Christ through the loving intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes.
